2nd Advent - The Prologue and Preparation
Posted December 4th, 2011
Prologues in a book give us a preview of what is to come. It hints at the story line which we are about to read. The Gospel of Mark opens with, "The beginning of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ". The word Gospel means the Good News. It is the prologue that announces and proclaims what is to come Good News... As the hearer and the reader these words prepares them for what is to come..the fulfillment of God's promise and the hope of what is to come. To prepare we need to make our hearts ready - not with detours or winding roads but with paths that are straight to the center of it so we can experience God's grace through Jesus.
