4th Advent What Qualifies Us

When we look for someone to do a job or an employer looks to hire someone they vet the person to see if they qualified and have the skill set to do the work. What qualified Mary to be the mother of Jesus -the Son of God. What qualified Elizabeth to the mother John the Baptizers a prophet? What qualifies us? It is a heart of submission to God and willingness to serve Him no matter the cost. Mary found favor with God because of her heart for Him. Zachariah and Elizabeth were righteous before God walking blamelessly in all the commands and statues of the Lord (Luke 1:6)
