Believe
who we are
Welcome
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our website. We are a parish that is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida and the worldwide Anglican communion. We are firmly rooted in the teachings of the Apostles and believe the Bible to be the true, living, and authoritative Word of God.
What We Believe
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We believe that His death and resurrection provided us eternal atonement of our sin and all who have a personal relationship with Him will share an eternal life with Him.
As we embrace our journey in the body of Christ, we know that we cannot accomplish it on our own and rely on the transforming power of the Holy Spirit to draw us into a deeper relationship with Him.
Our mission is to be His disciples by preaching the gospel and following His commandments. We proclaim and commit ourselves and resources to this mission both locally and beyond.
We believe that Christ came into the world for all and all are welcomed. We oppose prejudice in ourselves and others and we renounce any false notion of inclusivity that denies that we are all sinners who need to repent.
We believe that God has instituted marriage to be a life-long union of husband and wife, (male and female). We acknowledge that we live in a fallen world and that divorce is sometimes a tragic necessity. We understand single-life, whether by choice or circumstance, is honored by God and embrace those who are single.
We believe that sexuality is inherent in God's creation of every human person in His image as male and female. We believe that all Christians are called to chastity: Husbands and wives by exclusive sexual fidelity to one another and single persons by abstinence.
Personal Welcome
On a personal note, I am excited about what God is doing and continues to do through this parish. I believe the heart of the parish is to touch lives not only in the parish but in the community, the state, the nation, and the world.
So if you are looking for a place to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I want to personally invite you and encourage you to join us as we step out in faith and grow in His grace and mercy.
Again welcome. Come and be a part of our family at St. Elizabeth's and experience God's transforming power through our Lord Jesus Christ.
May God richly bless your life this day and forever more.
