First Sunday in Lent You are empowered

The first Sunday takes us into the wilderness with Jesus. In the wilderness Jesus was tempted with the same temptation we are - it also reminds us that it was His obedience to God that we have salvation through Him. It was by the power of the Holy Spirit He was able to overcome the temptations - We too are empowered by the same Holy Spirit to carry us through Lent.
