1st Sunday after Christmas Day - the Gift from God

The gifts we receive at Christmas are temporal and last as long as we live. The we receive from is more than one day it is every day and last an eternity. It is the of Jesus - Savior and Redeemer of the world.

Advent 3 year A Did I make the right decision

In our lifetime we will make decisions that affect our lives. While John the Baptist was imprisoned by Herod Antipas, he sent his disciples to Jesus to ask Him, "Are you the one, or should we wait for another?"

Advent 2 year A Announcements and proclamations

As the song goes, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas", with all the advertisements, announcements, proclamations, songs, commercials, decorations. John the Baptist, a voice in the wilderness, also proclaimed what ultimately what Christmas is about - the inauguration of Jesus' ministry and the clarion call for us to return and worship Him.

Advent is about preparation. Not the kind of preparation the world experiences around Christmas, it is about our preparing our heart for God's Son the of salvation and Love of God.

Fr Norm Christ the King Sunday

Fr. Norm was our Supply priest while Fr. Dave was part of team doing a men's retreat. Fr. Norm reminds of God's great love for us and having an attitude of gratitude.
